Jae Hi Ahn was born in Seoul and grew up in Dangjin, South Korea. She received her BFA in sculpture from Chungnam National University in South Korea in 1997 and an MFA from C.W. Post Campus/LIU in NY in 2002. Her awards, residencies and exhibitions include: Lower Manhattan Cultural Council/Swing Space Grant, Sculpture Space, Ragdale, BRIC Rotunda Gallery, the Field Sculpture Park at Omi, Broadway Windows at NYU, Urban Artist Initiative Fellowship, Artist’s Enclave at I-Park, Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Washington Square Windows at NYU, Alpan Gallery, Elizabeth Foundation, Vox Populi and Dam Stuhltrager Gallery. Her work has been reviewed in the New York Times and the Brooklyn Rail. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
